​Born, February 22, 1982, Dwight Jones, better known for his stage name:  “Sir Jones” is an upcoming Dallas/Ft. Worth-based rapper; and member of the local, popular hip hop group “Silverback.  Growing up in Denton, Texas, a city well-known for its music life and festivities became the perfect place for Sir Jones to begin his musical journey.  Sir Jones musical inspiration was brought to life by his father, who was a member of the Denton-based music group “The Texas Hoodlums, and his uncle, owner of the New York City-based recording label “B-Boy Records”.   Influenced by major rap artists and groups such as N.W.A., Too Short, Master P, Snoop Dogg, and Bone Thugs in Harmony to name a few; deepened Sir Jones passion to become a rapper. In addition, Sir Jones took interest in becoming a D.J.  Alongside his brother, Sir Jones and a few of their high school friends continued to make music together and decided to form the hip hop group “Silverback.   Silverback went on to becoming a well-known rap group throughout Denton-Dallas Texas and surrounding cities. Releasing their first mixtape in 2010, "The Beginning" became a local "buzz" for the group.  Shortly thereafter, the group released their first album "Guerillas in Tha Mist".  The group also opened up for major rap artists Webbie and Slim Thug. hE IS NOW SIGNED TO tHE KESSEE GROUP WITH A BRIGHT FUTURE.
